BioShock 2 Pre-Order Reveals Multiplayer Characters (source) Two exclusive characters for those who slap down the cash early. What is the Bioshock 2 Release Date? 2kGames Games had announced earlier this year (2009) that Bioshock 2 will be released simultaneously for PC, Xbox360 and PlayStation 3 in Europe on October 31st in time for Halloween, and a few days later in North America on November 3rd, 2009. However later in July 2009, in an interview with teamxbox, Take-Two Interactive Software (Bioshock 2's publisher) announced that the game will be delayed to first quarter of 2010 with no definitive month given. The reason appears to be budgetary. What is the plot of Bioshock 2? Bioshock 2 takes place ten years after the events of the first BioShock game. The year is 1970 and a number of towns around the world have been reporting kidnappings of young girls. Witnesses say that the attacker was often spotted near the sea, he was said to be extremly fast and had a distinct red light on his body. It's been revealed that this single attacker is in fact the Big Sister, one of the Little Sisters survivors from the events of the first Bioshock game. She has matured and mechanized herself in a similar fashion to the Big Daddies, and has become the ruler of Rapture, the underwater city. But under the Big Sister, the city precariously hangs on an fragile equilibrium in which she will viciously hunt down and kill anyone who disrupts the balance of power. The Big Sister has been kidnapping little girls from the land to turn them into creatures like herself. However, Tenenbaum, the original creator of the Little Sisters, reveals that a greater power may be at work influencing the Big Sister. |
